Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech. Amazon recently announced that brands can now create custom versions of text-to-speech (TTS) voices for their Alexa Skills.

Amazon worked with KFC in Canada and together built a voice for the chain’s brand ambassador, Colonel Sanders. The voice has a Southern U.S. English accent and can be listened to in KFC’s latest Amazon Alexa app. Amazon also helped designed an Australian English voice for a National Australia Bank, which launched as a part of a broader NAB contact centre migration to Amazon Connect, Amazon’s omnichannel cloud contact centre product.
