Are You Ready To Make The Most Of Amazon’s Black Friday?
With super-fast delivery options and an epic range of items, Amazon will be the store to beat again in 2019!
With the Prime Day deals done and dusted, our attention has turned towards the upcoming Amazon Black Friday deals and there is every chance that this will be the best year for the mega-retailer. Last year was a record-breaking event for Amazon: the period from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, saw Amazon’s sales increase by “millions” over the previous year.
Amazon is notoriously secretive about its sales figures but in a press release, it said that last year’s Cyber Monday was the biggest shopping day in Amazon’s history. Amazon stated that between Black Friday and Cyber Monday it sold 150 million items last year.
Get Ready For The Big Days!
Like every other retailer, the Amazon Black Friday date is November 29, 2019. However, Amazon likes to run its deals over a longer period than just the four-day weekend from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, so expect Amazon’s Black Friday 2019 deals to run from mid-November into early December.
How To Get The Best Deals From Amazon On Black Friday 2019
We’ve got two key bits of advice: do your homework and bide your time.
- Scout, Scout, Scout! – If you know exactly what you want, you won’t be distracted by the thousands of products on sales. At the beginning of November, scout around for the products you want and save the product links and the current price. Pop in every day (if you have that kind of time) to see whether a coupon code or discount has been applied to your item of choice.
- Set Your Budget – In order to avoid overspending amidst the madness, set yourself a budget that includes everything you want but, leave some room for those unexpected “can’t miss” deals.
The exception to that is Lightning Deals, which are only available for a short, specified period. When those ones are gone, they’re gone. Make sure you’ve signed up for Amazon Prime before you go shopping, as Lightning Deals and some of Amazon’s best deals are Prime-only. There’s a free trial you can cancel after you’ve shopped.
Fast, Flashing, Lightning Deals
As part of Black Friday, Amazon offers the Deal of the Day and Lightning Deals. Just like the name suggests, the Deal of the Day is an item that Amazon has deeply discounted for the day. As for Lightning Deals, these are deep discounts on items that are refreshed as often as every five minutes during Black Friday week. You can think of these as doorbuster deals because these items are limited in quantity and are only available for a limited time.
