About the Role
The Head of Content leads & manages RT7s content production capabilities, delivering exceptional content for our diverse clients situated across various Amazon marketplaces, and for other internal departments such as Marketing. The role is responsible for managing the research, brand strategy, planning, delivery, reporting and support of all content according to RT7 processes and quality standards. The role manages our internal teams (with copy and design functions), freelance copywriters and designers, and staff responsible for publishing content to Amazon. As a creative, the Head of Content needs an excellent understanding of branding, digital marketing and SEO. They need creative vision, collaboration skills, the ability to understand and work with stakeholders, and the ability to see the big picture in order to be successful. As a manager the Head of Content role requires strong leadership, planning, trouble-shooting, and the agility to respond to day-to-day challenges such as client escalations. The role reports to the Director of Operations, and manages the Content Team Leads, and Traffic Manager, as well as senior freelance service providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The role is a full-time position and is fully remote, with occasional group training and team events. The role is required to work closely with the Advertising, Client Success, Amazon Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams. As part of the HOD team, the Head of Content has important responsibilities in driving the implementation of RT7s continuous learning and improvement strategy.

Content Management

  • Responsible for assigning, managing and training appropriately skilled core and contract staff on RT7Digital’s content teams.
  • Responsible for planning production schedules for copy and creative activities, meeting all internal quality standards, as well as arranging and chairing all content meetings, including occasional client-facing meets.
  • Responsible for coordinating and producing regular reports to Clients on content related deliveries.
  • Responsible for working closely with RT7 Internal Departments to meet RT7Digital’s internal communication and marketing goals.
  • Identifying and responding to areas of training required for core staff within the content team.
  • Responsible for and responsive to the needs of the content team and ensuring a supportive, enabling and energising workplace for all content staff.
  • Identifying capacity gaps, where these may occur, and resolving these shortfalls through either identifying and training suitable internal talent, or bringing in freelance support.
  • Supporting Client Success Managers directly by leading or joining specific client meetings.

Personal Requirements

Aptitudes/Abilities/Skills

  • Proven ability to work across a range of different areas within the content department of a digital marketing agency.
  • Out of the box thinking to achieve required outcomes.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, and experienced in working with designers, copywriters, freelancers, client success managers, and clients.
  • Demonstrable high standards of attention to detail and ‘follow-through’.
  • Proven ability to plan and juggle an often heavy workload.
  • Fast learner and capable of picking up Amazon marketplace skills, and specialised software (e.g. Clickup)
  • Excellent understanding of SEO and its particular requirements for e-commerce purposes.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a fast paced organisation – this is agency life.
  • Experience leading a large team with a busy workload.
  • Experience in the use of the relevant computer hardware and software, including Google Suite and ClickUp.
  • Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders, often negotiating conflicting agendas and finding a solution that balances various interests.
  • Experience in working in a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in SEO / E-commerce since this is the primary focus of the Company.

Knowledge & Learning Agility

    • An interest in and sensitivity to writers, designers and the creative process as well as campaigns and the strategic process.
    • Fast learner capable of developing a solid understanding of Amazon or any other e-commerce environment.

Amazon Paid Media Manager

Role is remote and reporting to the Cape Town, South Africa, office.

About the Role

We are looking for a vibrant paid search enthusiast who is super keen to help grow brands big and small. You will be working closely with a team of Amazon Specialists to come up with and implement strategies to propel your brand portfolio to the next level. We are all about learning, trying, testing and being completely data driven in strategy creation.

Responsibilities and Duties

● Develop and expand on paid campaigns strategies for UK, US and EU brands. You will be responsible for both the creation and implementation of these strategies as well as the adaptation of these plans based on performance and trends.

● Work closely with dierent team members across dierent departments in order to ensure all strategies are working holistically to achieve client KPIS and success on the Amazon platform.

● Undertake in daily campaign management and monitoring, ensuring highest standards are followed especially with respect to budget management, pacing, monitoring, and reporting. You will be responsible for meeting your brand’s KPIs and ensuring that your campaigns are running as eciently and eectively as possible.

● Produce dashboards and reports for internal and client consumption, on dierent demand cadences, that generate insights, calculate agreed KPIs, and provide recommendations for campaigns adjustment and optimisation.

● Proactively bring new ideas forward to improve results and campaign performance – we are huge fans of idea sharing. You will be responsible for on-the-job learning, and required to keep up with the latest trends, innovative ways of working, and sharing knowledge with your
teammates.

● Develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of our brands.

● Develop a deep understanding of the mechanics of Amazon PPC, Amazon DSP (Programmatic), and any new products and service oerings. Amazon is an ever changing beast and releases new
advertising types often.

● Attend customer meetings with Customer Success managers, if required.

● Constantly innovate and keep abreast of opportunities for RT7Digital and our clients in the paid advertising space within the Amazon environment.

Skills And Experience

● Proven track record in implementation of campaign growth strategies.

● Proven track record of managing paid media (Google, Facebook etc.)

● Deep strategic and analytical skills.

Junior Client Success Manager

This is not a typical agency Account Manager / Relationship Manager role – we need someone who can not only engage and excite clients with confidence and a solution-centric approach, but also offer technical guidance with the day to day running of their accounts and grow to a point of being able to provide strategic input and insight to help move their Amazon business forward.

• Good understanding of the digital marketing landscape,
with focus on e-commerce advantageous

• Strong problem solving capabilities

• Marketing or Project Management tertiary education would be advantageous but is not a requirement · Super organised and calm under pressure

• Comfortable dealing with data

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once

• A natural in client relationships and comfortable managing those relationships remotely, as no clients are SA based

• Fluent in both written and spoken English, with outstanding communication skills

• Ability to learn at an accelerated pace, with a view to being fluent in the Amazon landscape within the first 2–3 months
